A call to action addressed to architects, urban planners, and landscape designers!
In the face of the criminal lack of affordable rental housing in the Brussels-Capital Region and beyond, architects, urban planners, and landscape designers are mobilising to be part of the solution rather than part of the problem. Just like landlords involved in Badala, a movement that is a little less embryonic, as it will take shape in 2025 in Saint-Gilles.
A first commitment of "The Disorder of Architects" is, unsurprisingly, to oppose all forms—whether blatant or subtle—of gentrification, of which we must not become accomplices. But other commitments will surely follow.
First meeting/gathering: Tuesday 11 March 2025 at 6 PM at DoucheFLUX (84 rue des Vétérinaires, 1070 Brussels).
This gathering will also be an opportunity, incidentally, to create a banner: "The Disorder of Architects Takes a Stand!" for the annual Woon Actie·on Housing demonstration on 6 April.
