INVISIBLES exhibition – 11 to 29 November 2017
Centre Culturel Bruegel, rue des Renards 1F, 1000 Bruxelles.
Exhibition open by appointment only during the week, and from 12.00 to 18.00 at weekends.
This exhibition by the painter Spear is organised in partnership with the Propaganza collective and aims to present a series of portraits of people who are no longer “seen”.
INVISIBLES is part of “Painted For Them”, a project which helps destitute people based on human interaction and painting. Launched in 2012 by Spear, it is built around three themes: meetings, artistic creation, and the transmission of a humanist message. The models painted on canvas and in frescoes are people met in the street. The canvases are sold in aid of a charity helping destitute people; the frescoes are painted in the streets in order to rehumanise them and to transmit positive messages.
